October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Did you know that all of the profits at The Purple Shoe Thrift Shoppe go to benefit state-wide domestic violence programs?
Their story can be found on Facebook*:
“Our mission is to raise money through sales in our store to help provide funding for domestic violence victims throughout the state of North Carolina. ‘Shop to Stop Domestic Violence.’ When you shop at The Purple Shoe, you will receive a tax form to write it off on your taxes as well.
“We have fabulous name brand designers in shoes, clothing and accessories. We also have an amazing array of jewelry. Our prices are very reasonable and affordable. We now carry Swan Creek Soy based allergy free candles! They smell fantastic and are great for people with allergies! We are the only store in the area that carries these candles so stop in today and smell the variety of scents we carry!”*
Not only can treasure hunters find a treat at The Purple Shoe, but they also accept donations and are always seeking volunteers. By shopping, donating, or giving back to your community, you can help a victim of domestic violence.
